@@slimcognito. The problem is that argument doesnt work here. People in the market for high end laptops like this need the portability. I bought a Legion Pro 5i 16IRX8 in May 2023 for 1699USD. 13900HX, 32GB, 4070, 240HZ 16" IPS for $1699. Currently on sale for 1599USD. Pretty good laptop for work and games.
@shahzadshahzad5610 I have the same spec'd laptop, and it can run AAA just fine Hogwarts Legacy on High preset Medium RT with DLSS Quality gets ~100fps
This laptop costs almost 6000$ in Norway. I could build an RTX 4090 desktop with a good X670E motherboard with a top of the line Ryzen cpu and buy a Odyssey Neo G8 4k 240hz mini led monitor. And I would still have 1000 bucks left to spend on other things. It is a very impressive laptop that's for sure but it is extremely overpriced here.
As impressive as this is, I see how Lenovo is not allowing any comparisons benchmark wise to the Legion 7i Pro with the same GPU. I imagine it's probably within a couple of percentage points and this laptop is $1000+ more.
The same argument can be made for the Razer Blade and Alienware laptops. There are cheap Acer gaming laptops that are more powerful than the legion 7i but I still bought a legion 9i because it looks awesome, is built better and has just a few more features.
I was able to get the Legion 9i Gen 8 priced out with Windows 11 Pro, the 4090, and 64GB of DDR5 at $3345 with multiple discounts. Damn! And the display is insane and the reason why I chose the 9i over the 7i. The 7i doesn't have an option for the miniLED display. So tempted to pull the trigger on this beast! I already have the Asus Scar 16 with 4080 and only 32GB DDR5, but it has the 2560 x 1600 miniLED HDR1000 display @ 240Hz. It's a great gaming laptop and I only paid $2800 for it, so may give it to my son if I get the 9i. Decisions decisions!
I have the 9i, the screen is fantastic and build quality is great. Turn off Nahemic and the speakers are pretty good too. The Spectrum software for the lighting is buggy but Legion Toolkit completely fixes it. If you can make the price right with discounts and coupons, go for it. Just beware of the weird keyboard position and small trackpad.
Lenovo has been killing it the past couple years. My wife's laptop with a 3050 and ryzen 5 runs things buttery smooth and I have no idea how. I thought it was under spec for a lot of things I tried on it but somehow things run amazing.
its just that must things people do with ther laptops (including gaming) arent that demanding as we think of it. Yeah there much better video cards/cpu´s but playing most games on normal grapics will do with a lot of "weaker" hardware ps 3050 laptop actually quite nice not great but will do as you experienced
I like the gestures of including 2 power bricks, with one being more compact. My main laptop has been a legion i7 y740 for years but i have been reluctant to bring it to classes or anywhere in fact that i dont absolutely need it for because of the power brick. And i could never bring myself to pay out nearly $200 for the slimmer charger.
What is your opinion on the Lenovo LOQ series as it is kind of in the middle between ideapad series and legion series, coz in my country, legion is wayy overpriced.
Damn !! 75°C on Boost mode with a RTX 4090 at 171W ? That's mighty impressive. Also, on a side note, can you showcase gaming performance on Baldur's gate 3 act III ? That wouldn't be representative of the pc performance, but i still want to see what laptop can run fine on that act...
Idk why i keep watching these lol, 4k dollar is more than i get in 3 years of work. Yeah third country student life, no way my current pc cant even run youtube properly. Hope for me guys, so that i can get a decent job to afford a laptop 1/8 of the price. I cant have a desk pc, cuz i dont have a fixed home
I ended up ordering one September 3rd before reviews were live and am not disappointed. Anyone looking to get this I would recommend the 64GB option for more future proofing as the memory is underneath the motherboard, also double sided SSD will fit in both slots. I am using two Western Digital SN850X 4TB without issue. My machine came with the WiFi 7 card from MediaTek the website says it will be an Intel WiFi 6E when you buy it.
Man, I have a Legion Y740 with a 2080 Max-Q and it’s still kicking butt 3 years later. Obviously I ain’t playing nothing at 4K but I can still play most games at med/high settings off my 1440p monitor at about 80 fps. I do have a very high end desk top but I don’t planning on getting another gaming laptop for a long time. With all that being said, this machine looks amazing!
I personally love the useless water cooling loop. Like it just moves water around but the copper tubing isn't connected to any fins or something to actually cool the water, it just goes round and round with nothing to do the cooling part of the water cooling.
I almost bought this, but in the end went with a ThinkPad P1 gen 6 with a 16" OLED screen, the 13900H CPU and the RTX 4090 GPU. Portability is much more important to me in a laptop.
@@Usernotknown21 he needs portability, which may be counterintuitive, but even at 115W, it still outperformed 4070 even if you crank to the maximum 140W
Indeed, the type of work I do benefits from having as many CUDA cores as possible for parallelism, rather than higher clock speed. I have a separate Legion 7i Pro 4080 laptop which can run its GPU at max wattage, but it’s a significantly thicker and heavier machine.
@@sflxn naturally, this is highly subjective, but for me, it really didn’t. I’ve sold my ASUS to upgrade to the P1. There’s much more to a laptop than its list of specs. ASUS had a worse keyboard, trackpad, screen and customer support, but it was also cheaper, so not a like for like comparison. I just wanted a bigger screen without adding too much weight. For me, P1 is the best thin and light mobile workstation out there if you want the ultimate mix of quality and portability, not if you just want highest possible performance. Lenovo’s Legion series are a better fit purely for performance, as long as you don’t mind something thicker and heavier (so you’re trading off portability for performance). The Legion is a gaming-first machine with balls-out performance where you can also run productivity apps. The P1 is a mobile workstation where ergonomics, reliability and comfort comes first, so it has conservative tuning to tame fan noise and chassis temps. It can also happen to run games rather well on the side, but it’s not its primary purpose in life. To say the P1 is useless because it doesn’t run its GPU at a zillion watts is like saying a Rolls-Royce is useless because it can’t go at 200 mph. It was never designed to do that. It’s designed for users with different priorities and different preferences. I’m not hating on ASUS by the way, G14 was a really nice machine for the price and I have an ASUS X670E Extreme motherboard in my desktop PC with an ASUS Harpe mouse. It’s good to have options from different brands. It’s just that when it comes to Windows/Linux laptops, I prefer ThinkPads over anything else and I’m excited to finally have a thin and light ThinkPad which can run anything I throw at it at a good level of performance without sounding like a jet engine. The battery life still sucks, but that’s inevitable with any Intel laptop with comparable specs.
@ZOMBIE_WORLD Go with the 7i pro. Got one two weeks ago. Spectacular laptop. Don't see the need for water cooling especially when there's nothing to really keep the water cool in the first place. The 7i pro has great thermals, bright and vibrant screen and nice heft.
@ZOMBIE_WORLD Are your drivers updated? Is it on dgpu and performance mode? When I checked for system updates in vantage and windows I had many to deal with. 30+ at least after first turning on the laptop. Ive been playing Cyberpunk with Ray tracing on ultra with really good performance. Reach out to Lenovo if anything. Tech support will be able to walk you through stuff.
Writing this on my new M16 Zephyrus (4080 version). Loving this machine so far. Great speakers, great screen, great customizability, great design, only wish these came with AMD CPUs so battery life could be better. Anything over 3k for a laptop would be too much for me so this is fine for now.
@@ratus the M16 is really nice. The sd card is uhs II, the ram is fully upgradable, space for extra SSD. It's a great machine. Gorgeous display, great speakers. The 4080 is sufficient for me for everything and sorta futureproof compared to the 4060/4070 versions. I haven't had any manufacturer defect which can happen with laptops and also almost zero light bleed.
I'm looking to get this laptop for traveling and gaming. Do you think the screen and 4080 are worth it? I was looking at the 4070, but I really want the better screen and obviously a 4080 is better, but costs like $700 more.
@@pludini5266 yeah I know what you mean. I had that dilema as well. The 4090 version is too over priced but at 2699 for the 4080 with 1TB storage and the miniled screen, it's not bad. Plus I went for the 4080 because of the 12gb vram so in later years I still have some buffer. Plus that miniled screen is great and so bright. Def notice the haloing on dark backgrounds when the screen is in multi zone config but it's an easy fix by changing to single zone. The laptop is fast and very well built. I'd definitely recommend it. If you feel the 4070 is enough and you want to save 700, then yeah go for the lower spec. Just a great laptop. Only gripe is AMD CPUs would have so much better impact on battery.
$4499 is hella insane, to be honest!!! I know it's a laptop and with those components, it's going to be real fast but with that kind of money, you can actually build a 4090 desktop! To be honest I get the point! I am a big performance hoarder and I really think this kind of laptop is really useful for some people but laptops need to be good enough so you can do your tasks on the move but that's kinda it! thermals, battery usage, all the shit you have to carry for it just to plug it in and have the full performance it's going to make it ridiculous in the end!
you didn't get my point!@@EyeOfTheTiger777 I get that laptops are portable! I also have a laptop due to its portability! but I'm saying that at this price this thing is not what it should be! considering new prices on the market right now (in the UK for example) you can get a full speck computer (4090/64gbram/7959x) for a little over 3k and you still have something to get a decent laptop for "portability" I, for example, went out and got myself an Asus ROG Flow x13 and I can do whatever i would like to do on it without a problem... I get that this laptop will be much more powerful than a 1.5/2k laptop but sincerely when you get to this point these laptops are really not that portable anyway... all that weight and added stuff to the bag (plus you will need it to be plugged in to have that kind of performances) it's just reeeaaallyyy not worth it! not at that price! so I get that you can pick it up and go anywhere but is it worth it? at that price? and for how many people will it be? and then the manufacturers will be well we've offered them the most powerful laptops but they just didn't buy them! they must not want powerful portability... and they go and give you crap for more money... and you can really see in the comments that people are really not that attracted to the product because of its price!
It’s only better than a MacBook Pro if you want a gaming laptop. For general purpose use and content creation, I prefer my MacBook Pro because it’s silent and remains fast even on battery and the battery life is very long. I have the Legion as well and it cannot compare in terms of performance on battery and overall battery life. Sure, it’s faster when plugged in and when gaming. MacBook Pro sets the gold standard in laptop design, build quality, speaker and webcam fidelity, trackpad comfort, screen crispness and battery life. As a package, it’s hard to beat.
@little_fluffy_clouds my gaming laptop battery when unplugged still lasts a few hours straight, it's quiet, and everything can still run 144fps+, and costed less than a MacBook cuz I got a sale on it
@@little_fluffy_clouds the legion 9i case is made entirely of magnesium where the MacBook is aluminum. Legion has a 4090M GPU where as the MacBook doesn't I like the legion 9i more than the MacBook. Simply more options and firepower on the legion.
@@TheRedc0met I am aware of the differences, since I own two Legions (7i and 14 Slim OLED, and I will sell the 7i to get a 9i as soon as they start using the latest gen processors) and two MacBooks currently (14" Pro and 13" Air M2). I also have a ThinkPad P1 gen6, which is Lenovo's top-of-the-range 16" mobile workstation laptop. I've been collecting ThinkPads since IBM introduced them in 1990 and still have a vintage 760XL in perfect working condition. Apple Silicon Macs also have discrete GPUs, just not made by NVIDIA, Intel or AMD, it's Apple's own design. It's perfectly capable of running any game or productivity task, as well as ray-tracing in the recent models. There's just not enough support from big name gaming developers for making/porting AAA games for the Mac. For AI and ML work, MBP is actually a good choice since the GPU has access to all of the memory in the machine at full speed, whereas the 4090 is limited to 24 GB of VRAM. Magnesium vs. aluminium isn't that important for me since the build quality in a MacBook is immaculate, it's not like aircraft-grade aluminium isn't a premium material for laptop chassis. Each has strengths and weaknesses. If you just want to play the latest PC games, Legion is the better choice. For everything else, as a general purpose portable workhorse, MacBook Air or Pro are hard to beat.
The Ram is accessible you just have to partially remove the motherboard, did it the other day and upgraded to 64GB. Takes a bit with all the ribbon cables, but totally doable.
How's that liquid cooling system helping? It's just a small loop and when the water will get hot, that hot water will just run through the loop again and again. No radiator + fan to cool the water.
I bought this laptop. In the intro to your video the Left side RGB LEDs are stuck on a random color. In your video it looks like Red. I have stuck red or completely off LEDs. I talked to support, and they are now tracking the issue. Hopefully there is a bios update, after talking to them I strongly think it's the spectrum software. If anyone else is having this issue, please let Lenovo know so we can get this situation fixed.
The problem also exists on my computer. German Lenovo Legion i9 with 4090. I also spoke to support. The rest of the notebook is 1A. Love it. Update - there is a workaround. RGB is OK if Legion Vintage Software is minimized and the RGB profiles are changed using Short tasks Fn+Spacebar. Only change and save your profile if necessary using Legion Vintage. Then minimize the program and use the short task to switch through the RGB profiles.
Oh wow, the cooling is truly much better than the 7i My 7i overheats with the i7 13700HX and 4060. I hope the cooling tech will trickle down to the 7 series at some point Edit: it's 5i Pro, I mixed it up sorry. Lack of sleep
at first I was rushing to say "there no way this laptop would not have a severe cooling issues" but after I saw the new liquid cooling technology, there is a chance this might work well!!
Neither. My lenovo legion 5 died after a year and a half. I used to be a big lenovo fan but not now. Unacceptable. Surfed the net and I find I am not alone. Look up issues for lenovo buyers beware. Also see what they are saying about customer service.

Can someone please explain, why this laptop is so much more expensive in europe? Base price in the US is 3800 dollars, in europe it's 4600€. How can this be? Euros are worth more than dollars, so it should be more like 3600€ over here. The 4090 model is 5500€ dude😂
I'd absolutely love a machine like this for Blender and video editing. I can't afford it though which sucks. Maybe in like five years when they're not that expensive anymore lol
Love your videos and your channel . Great reviews as always !! FYI if you will be reviewing the updated version with the 14000HX or revisit the gen 8 legion 9i there has been an update on the legion AI , now after hitting balanced and check boxing the AI self tuning box , the CPU is hitting 95 to 120 wright off without going into manual mode . Also temps have been reduced don’t know what exactly they did but my temps went down by 9 degrees . Just a heads up !
If the pump is not user replaceable then it’s a scary prospect. Also, how does that tiny volume of liquid cool on a longer run? The laptop IS pretty cool. But I have so many questions about it in the long run.
@@Usernotknown21Do note it's region dependent though. I paid for premium warranty, and got shafted _hard_ as the best Lenovo could offer me was repair times of over 30 days.
It won't unless you are able to run a freon style chiller system, (not even sure this exists) internally there is no way it is possible for this laptop to displace the heat generated by the components. Temps are probably fine for an hour after that you would probably burn your fingers. Spend 3.5k and build a badass gaming rig then spend another 1k for a lower pc and just stream your desktop to the laptop and sidestep the temp issue.
i have been looking at this laptop for a while now and i think your review has made my mind up about the purchase. I currently run a Lenovo P1 but there are some things left to desire from that deck, though its supposed to be my work computer. I appreciate your time and your review.... keep up with the good content.
I have the P1 gen6 with a 4090 and it’s the perfect form factor and lightweight, but it means it has to power limit the GPU and the fans get noisy even in quiet mode. The 9i is bigger and heavier but has the room for quietly cooling those components without power limiting them too severely. Highly recommended if price is no issue (then again, the P1 was $6K, so the 9i is a bargain in comparison)
That is damn impressive performance and internal tech. But holy shit, that is EXPENSIVE. Almost impractically expensive imo... Like, there's the top tier of gaming laptops in terms of price, and then there's this thing. But if they're doing unique, hand-made exteriors, I guess they don't expect to sell that many anyways...
I absolutely love this laptop. Lenovo has been absolutely doing everything right in the past few years. They're knocking it out of the ballpark. I know Lenovo was struggling for a few years. But it seems like lately they're coming out with some really awesome stuff awesome stuff. The legion go also looks amazing
Yeah! It kinda looks like it. Been comparing it with the Razer Blade16 like forever. Only thing I don't like about it is the trackpad. Not great. Razer's is way better here but the performance on the Legion is better.
@TheDude50447 Tests are coming out. Same specs but Legion is running higher performance numbers, with cooler temperatures, and significantly less fan noise compared to the Blade 16. Lenovo has a winner here
Different people value different things. As a former legion 7i and now a razer blade 16 owner I can assure you both brands are great in their own way, but focus on different things. You normally don't buy razer if you want absolute best performance or the best price. You do it if you value a certain look. Lenovo on the other hand offers a much better cooling solution and normally a better price to perfomance value (questionable with current legion 9 prices though...) My point: I would not change my blade 16 for a legion 9, even though it certainly performs much better. I don't want the 'gamer look' of a legion. Simple as that.
@@UrdnotAkongo Yeah. Obviously Im purely talking about the pricing. Imo price to performance is still horrible for both. The Asus Scar 18 with 4080 and 13980hx was recently on sale here for 3000€. For the same specs the blade 16 is 1000 and the legion 9 1400€ more expensive.
As a current Legion 7 2021 user, this Legion 9 seems to be stepping in an interesting direction for the flagship Legion lineup, but not quite there yet. While I appreciate the effort making the top lid unique, it needs to be cleaner. This design is not edgy enough to compete with MSI, or classy enough to compete with the Blade, and the Legion audience tends to prefer a more lowkey look. Maybe this design can be reserved for special editions. Port placement also seems weird, both the sides and even the back, like they're not evenly spaced out, which is definitely an eye sore for OCD people like me. The internal water-cooling system looks cool, but I have doubts when this is put into long term usage. Lenovo could even consider implementing an additional removable cooler like those XMGs. Soldered RAMs is another turn-off for me. Removability of parts has always been part of Lenovo laptops, maybe this a temporary solution for that internal cooling, but hopefully they'll figure out another way without soldering the RAMs in later versions. Perhaps when RTX5000 series arrive, I'll jump on one of these Legion 9s if they've made these improvements.
agree with pretty much everything except for the design, i think it looks absolutely cool and way better than msi titan, but such things are subjective.. all i can do is look at these luxury laptops, hyper expensive toys
Right, you can build a SFF in 10-11 L cases like Fractal Terra or H2O with 4070Ti or 4080 have better performance and have money left to get a decent Legion for portable gaming
Please help me, I am confused between Legion 9i and M3 Pro Max 36 GB 1TB varaint. I have no problem regarding the price, and both the OS are ok for me. I use a few VM for ethical hacking apart from these I program and also do video edits. Please recommend which one will be worth.
7:06 Honestly maybe I doubt something like sound dampening would be something people would do on laptop keyboard unless they made a way to easily to take out the keyboard from the top but hey maybe if there was a laptop that could do that then still probably not unless the laptop is cheap cause laptop keyboards just don't sound hollow usually. I could see people hand lubing everything if they wanted to go that far.
Incredible and good qualiti but cant it reach the cooling Quality like XMG Neo 17 with a Oasis? I mean is it possible to use the full 175 Watt Boost constantly?
I love the new tech coming out with laptops. However I am always discouraged on splurging that much money on a laptop for two reasons - Hardware is barely interchangeable for the sake of upgrades and laptops go dated really quickly. Imagine spending that amount of money on a desktop, that is an absolute beast. I would rather have a beast of a desktop for all powerful function and a mid range laptop for work and other mundane tasks.
Just ordered mine with 64 gb mem 2 tb storage and 4090 graphics card for $3650 so fully loaded. I think a thin 16" laptop that keeps up with those huge msi desktop replacements is well worth the money. When you throw in the additional portable power brick and what I feel is the best overall display in any laptop it is a great purchase decision for me.
It's great to see Lenovo finally pushing the envelope and adding that Mini-LED display plus the fingerprint sensor. However, I must say I'm pretty damn happy with my Legion 7i Pro and I still feel like I'd buy it over the 9i Pro since it just feels far better balanced and the price tag for what you get just feels far more reasonable. I also haven't found a game that justifies the need for a 4090 just yet. The 4080 is ripping at max settings in most of my games so I just don't feel like the massive jump to 5k euros is worth it. I'd rather have my 240Hz display, it feels smooth af boi.
Bought slim 7 2023 and within one month got a black screen issue. Needed to take it apart about 4 times to fix it. My 7 year old hp pavillion with i5-7200u never failed to turn on. Legion laptops look good but can't say reliable.
Really wish that these high end “gaming” laptops just ship without a trackpad entirely. Who in their right mind would use this as a “productivity tool” on the go, these devices are designed to be used with a mouse, if you absolutely had to quickly click something add a touch screen. I’ve never used a touchpad with a laptop over the years, unless you’re literally in a basement or crawlspace installing network gear or servers (and if u do that on the regular u can use a none gaming laptop for this). Having the full chassis for the keyboard makes so much more sense, both how it looks and comfort level. Whenever i have to opt for a laptop as my daily driver i have it in a stand with a dock plugged in for my peripherals so its not an awkward af typing experience.
It's not a laptop, it's a transportable desktop though. And that sucks by itself, if I plan to move I use an ultrathin and ultralight 13.3". If I plan to stay I use a 34" UW monitor.
Definitely sound portable to me, coming from a massive 3.4kg 17" HP Omen (make it 4.5kg with the charger) Considering that it packs a 4090 it's quite impressive!
You did not talk about battery power and how long it lasts! i use Legion 5 and its just 2/3hours and won't mind upgrading to something with more power!

Just picked up the 4090 config for $2500 on ebay! Brand spankin' new!
@@mrmuffins4224can you give the spec I’m kind of tempting
Lenovo has been killing it the past couple years. My wife's laptop with a 3050 and ryzen 5 runs things buttery smooth and I have no idea how. I thought it was under spec for a lot of things I tried on it but somehow things run amazing.
its just that must things people do with ther laptops (including gaming) arent that demanding as we think of it. Yeah there much better video cards/cpu´s but playing most games on normal grapics will do with a lot of "weaker" hardware
ps 3050 laptop actually quite nice not great but will do as you experienced
gaming laptops are kinda eww. would rather buy a pimped out desktop, huge monitor, and a steam deck.
My last laptop was Lenovo and I remember the speakers were very good, loud and clear with pretty decent bass.
just use EQ and add virtual surround and lower treble and increase bass
I like the gestures of including 2 power bricks, with one being more compact. My main laptop has been a legion i7 y740 for years but i have been reluctant to bring it to classes or anywhere in fact that i dont absolutely need it for because of the power brick. And i could never bring myself to pay out nearly $200 for the slimmer charger.

Same but with 2070 max Q XD
I personally love the useless water cooling loop. Like it just moves water around but the copper tubing isn't connected to any fins or something to actually cool the water, it just goes round and round with nothing to do the cooling part of the water cooling.
I almost bought this, but in the end went with a ThinkPad P1 gen 6 with a 16" OLED screen, the 13900H CPU and the RTX 4090 GPU. Portability is much more important to me in a laptop.
4090 is useless in that machine online 115 watts
@@Usernotknown21 he needs portability, which may be counterintuitive, but even at 115W, it still outperformed 4070 even if you crank to the maximum 140W
Indeed, the type of work I do benefits from having as many CUDA cores as possible for parallelism, rather than higher clock speed.
I have a separate Legion 7i Pro 4080 laptop which can run its GPU at max wattage, but it’s a significantly thicker and heavier machine.
TGP of 80w was why I stopped looking at the P1. I bet an asus g14 will run rings around the p1.
@@sflxn naturally, this is highly subjective, but for me, it really didn’t. I’ve sold my ASUS to upgrade to the P1. There’s much more to a laptop than its list of specs. ASUS had a worse keyboard, trackpad,
screen and customer support, but it was also cheaper, so not a like for like comparison.
I have the Legion Pro 7i and I love the ceramic keys on mine! They look nice, stay cooler to the touch and just feel nice.
Thinking about this variant right now (Legion i9 4090 vs M16 4090) and it gives me headache what is better xD
@@theompman yea true it’s a shame there’s no amd option

It’s only better than a MacBook Pro if you want a gaming laptop.

I like the legion 9i more than the MacBook.

So here is the question...what is a better option: 64 Gb of Ram or 32Gb of the faster ram (both are options for the 4090 config).
Looks great! I do wonder how the liquid cooling will perform over time - hopefully well!
How's that liquid cooling system helping? It's just a small loop and when the water will get hot, that hot water will just run through the loop again and again. No radiator + fan to cool the water.
I like your videos. The way you explain is brief and informative.
Edit: I saw in the video that you mentioned this. 100% have the exact same issue that you mentioned.
If the pump is not user replaceable then it’s a scary prospect. Also, how does that tiny volume of liquid cool on a longer run?
The laptop IS pretty cool. But I have so many questions about it in the long run.
No because they actually have excellent warranties. They have next day at your home repair services

Are the fans user replaceable if they fail or are they riveted to the cooling assembly?
I absolutely love this laptop. Lenovo has been absolutely doing everything right in the past few years. They're knocking it out of the ballpark. I know Lenovo was struggling for a few years. But it seems like lately they're coming out with some really awesome stuff awesome stuff. The legion go also looks amazing

For anyone cross shopping with the Razer Blade 16, Lenovo suddenly made is a much easier choice. Legion is the no-brainer here
Depends if the 500€ the Blade 16 is cheaper (at least here in germany) with the same specs is nothing to you. Then its a no brainer yes.
Lenovo on the other hand offers a much better cooling solution and normally a better price to perfomance value (questionable with current legion 9 prices though...)
My point: I would not change my blade 16 for a legion 9, even though it certainly performs much better.
I like how every tech youtuber is like look at this new innovation! knowing barely any of the viewers will be able to afford one
I agree, but the RAM isn't soldered; it's just flipped on the other side of the motherboard.
agree with pretty much everything except for the design, i think it looks absolutely cool and way better than msi titan, but such things are subjective.. all i can do is look at these luxury laptops, hyper expensive toys

Would love to see this laptop on a Llano cooling pad. I wonder if the built-in liquid cooling plus the Llano would be a good combination.
Is this a 16 Inch screen size or is it bigger like 17-18 ?
16
Really good webcam and microphone too
I thought it was all covered with fingerprints in the video cover🤣
So im subbed and have the bell icon pressed for all but I somehow do not get notified of your videos, like wtf youtube.
Bought slim 7 2023 and within one month got a black screen issue. Needed to take it apart about 4 times to fix it. My 7 year old hp pavillion with i5-7200u never failed to turn on. Legion laptops look good but can't say reliable.
If they had classic Thinkpad style keyboard keys with the blue enter key and stuff!!! Omg that'd be awesome!
I saw the nothing phone 2 in the thumbnail, are you enjoying it? I think it has the best phone software right now. Will you review it
Stay tuned
Definitely sound portable to me, coming from a massive 3.4kg 17" HP Omen (make it 4.5kg with the charger)
Considering that it packs a 4090 it's quite impressive!
bro is running a marathon with a laptop, of course you need a tiny sheet of metal as one
You did not talk about battery power and how long it lasts! i use Legion 5 and its just 2/3hours and won't mind upgrading to something with more power!
Amazing laptop, great review!
I already see how it will gonna suck dust from that bottom vents. But design is awesome.
Speaking of Lenovo,
Anyone here having issues where as your Nvme drive on Lenovo laptop sometimes "disconnect" and/or "dissappear" from the windows.
I have Ideapad Gaming 3(Gen 7) and my Nvme sometimes dissapear from windows and I can't access the drive. Open the task manager and disk management all seems to indicate that the Nvme disconnect or something. I check the bios and sometimes it appears and the other times it would dissapear. Same when turning on the laptop and getting into windows. The Nvme sometimes runs nearly 100% of active time while doing nothing. I already format/ downgrade to windows 10 and pretty much everything but it's the same.
Is my Nvme broken or the laptop itself?.
Thanks
If they implemented a similar combination of switches and keys to a G915, that would be awesome!
0:52 Huge missed oppurtunity. You should've said "But there's more to the 9 than meets the i".
Got the 4090 16 blade but had some issues with it already. Might be jumping ship to Lenovo. How is their quality control and customer service?
A1. They ship them out to your house within 24 hours.
@@Usernotknown21 what about service and options if something malfunctioned within the warranty period? Level of quality of Lenovo’s products as a whole? First time buying Lenovo should I choose to do so.
whts weong with your razer blade 16? mine had a defective aux port.
@@d2nt3 I had a defective screen and sent it in to get it repaired. After receiving it back I noticed that the repair center replaced my 4k mini led screen with the QHD LCD one. I went through so much hurdles to get a new RMA to send it back and after sending many emails with the same pics and vids that were already sent and interactions with countless customer service agents I finally was able to get a new RMA and send it back in again to have it repaired with the correct panel. Now I am having issues with the synapse software and honestly it’s just a matter of time till the battery bloats. Things like this is unacceptable for laptop that is over $4k.
The Asus ROG Strix SCAR 16 has the same CPU and GPU configuration, and it gets a 240Hz QHD+ 16:10 Mini-LED display. I think the 9i display is fine for content creators. But, for gaming, the SCAR 16 is the way to go. Why spend so much money on all that power to be stuck at 165Hz?
